Philosophy of Education
The purpose of education is to
instruct an individual for the betterment of themselves and the betterment of
society. Education serves as a medium to
which people learn, grow and develop.
God wants us to be educated so that we can go about His business and
continue leading souls to His righteousness.
The Bible declares that we must train up a child in the ways that they
should go and when they are older they shall not depart. This tells us that we must lead the way for
the younger generations and the beginning step to get this accomplished is to
educate them. In today’s society media
serves as a mass form to help educate others.
As well as technology allowing educators to form the curriculum with
enrichment activities to help enhance educational experiences. The perfect example of educating others with
enrichment can be seen through Jesus and that can share light upon the world as
to what implications we should take to educate others. Jesus is the shepherd to the world, and as
teachers we are shepherds to our flock of students and must use all of our
knowledge and resources to help train our students to become productive Christians.
One of the main resources that serves
as a means to help develop students educational opportunities is
technology. Technology in education has
allowed for educators to incorporate enhancers into their lessons and
curriculum. A lot of students learn
through a variety of learning styles.
The process of being able to include technology into a curriculum or
classroom setting, will give the students a rich learning experience while
learning through a hands-on, engaging experience.
My theory of teaching technology
stands firmly upon having a hands-experience.
I feel that students learn best through the processing of “doing.” And
this can be seen when students are able to learn about technology through
manipulation of the technology resources.
Hence teachers should teach technology by implementing it into their
classrooms.
